Introduction of Tea

• When tea was introduced to England in 1662 for the marriage of Charles II and Portugal’s Catherine of Braganza. The Dowry included chests of tea and the regions of Bombay and Tangies!
• Tea was a major factor in establishing connections between the East and West. It was also a catalyst for developing new technologies suchas faster transport ships.
• Tea, as well as coffee, may apear to have a different taste when served on planes. The boiling points of water is 18-20 degrees lower when at higher altitudes due to air pressure.
