Introduction of Tea

• For centuries, tea was used only as a medicine. It took almost 3,000 years for it to  become an everyday drink.
• A tea plant can grow into a tree that is as tall as 52 feet if it’s leaves are not harvested.
  Cultivated plants are usually pruned to waist height.
• Solid blocks of tea were used as money in Siberia until the 19th century.
